‘Pippin’ At HFCC is Enthusiastic and Spirited

Sue Suchyta Dearborn Times Herald April 1994

Henry Ford Community College’s Theatre Arts, Music and Dance departments present the musical “Pippin” for one more weekend at Adray Auditorium in the Mackenzie Fine Arts Center on the HFCC campus.

“Pippin,” with the book by Roger O. Hirson and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, is a timeless parable that loosely uses Charlemagne’s son Pippin as Everyman in search of fulfillment. He delves into knowledge, war, the pleasures of the flesh, and even hearth and home. The clichés and foibles of humans, unchanged throughout the centuries, are light heartedly exposed.
