Amadeus

HFCC's Amadeus Is A-Ma-Zing-Us

Richard Marsh Dearborn Press and Guide April 1996

The best word to describe Henry Ford Community College's staging of "Amadeus" is intense. This production is an interesting contrast to a big musical. Both are energy-filled projects. Big musicals exude the energy and send the audience away peppy and happy. This show drains the energy away, leaving the playgoers rather numb. Not since "Children of a Lesser God" in fall 1990 has the college staged a show so reliant on the performers for its success. Like "Children of a Lesser God,' the actors were up to the challenge.
