Studio Theatre Showcase Auditions

Auditions are being held for the premiere production in the new HFC Studio Theatre. Auditions will be held on Friday and Saturday, December 15 and 16, 2017 from 2-5 pm, in room F-161 in the MacKenzie Fine Arts building. Auditions are cold reads from the scripts. A memorized contemporary monologue is optional.

Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-2:00 pm, starting Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Enrollment in THEA 140, One-Act Play Production, 3 credits, is required of all participants.

Henry Ford College and the Dearborn Youth Theatre present “Seussical” Nov. 10-17

News Summary: “Seussical” – the Dr. Seuss musical – comes to Henry Ford College Nov. 10-17. The play will run for six performances.

October 2, 2017, Dearborn, Mich. – “I do not like green eggs and ham. I do not like them, Sam-I-am.”

These are two of the most famous sentences in children’s literature as found in the pages of “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss. This children’s classic is one of many of the beloved author’s books that’s found its way into “Seussical,” the Broadway musical coming to Henry Ford College (HFC) Nov. 10-17.


Henry Ford College and the Dearborn Youth Theatre will present a co-production of SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL at HFC’s Adray Auditorium in November.

This delightful show will charm audiences from 5 to 85. It is based on the works of Dr. Seuss, and includes stories and characters from at least fifteen of his best loved books. During the evening, some will fall in love, some will have desperate adventures, and some will save the world!

Henry Ford College’s ‘Shooting Stars’ Scores With 60s-Era Empowerment Story

From a rundown locker room comes the story of “The Shooting Stars,” a 1960s women’s basketball team like the Harlem Globetrotters who face an off-court challenge with grit and humor.

The show runs 8 p.m. Aug. 4, 5, 11 and 12 and 2 p.m. Aug. 6 and 13 at Henry Ford College’s Adray Auditorium in the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center, 5101 Evergreen, Dearborn.
