VTL Awarded Generous Research Grant

HFCC Theatre Arts' Virtual Theatricality Lab, under the direction of Dr. George Popovich and Chief Engineer E. Alan Contino, was awarded a grant of $115,000.00 from Henry Ford Community College's Technology Improvement Fund in January 2005.

The VTL is changing the manner in which theatre is presented by combining live stage performances with the latest in film and digital technology to offer audience members a startling new experience and add a refreshing digital dimension to contemporary and classic theatre

The Virtual Theatricality Lab made international theatrical history in April, 2003 with its unprecedented production of William Shakespeare's "The Tempest," directed by Dr. George Popovich.
